Iron Workers and IMPACT Recognize ZISA Winners
Several recent NMAPC Zero Injury Safety Awards® winners were recognized during a portion of the general session of the 2015 North American Iron Workers/IMPACT Labor-Management Conference on February 24.
NMAPC Impartial Secretary Stephen Lindauer addressed the audience of more than 1,000 owners, contractors and Ironworkers and emphasized the importance of safety on industrial maintenance and construction projects. Further, he commended the leadership of the Ironworkers and IMPACT for their commitment to various safety initiatives aimed to bring ironworkers home safe each and every night.
Iron workers made significant contributions to twenty eight ZISA® tripartite teams who were recognized at the conference for their zero-injury accomplishments on NMA and NCA projects in 2014. Combined, the projects accounted for over 9 million injury free hours worked.
